Elise Sheehan Plotlines
Plotlines’ by Elise Sheehan will be a mixed-media installation, on display at Milly Sleeping.
The event will be the third in a series of small shows hosted by MS in 2015, featuring local ‘jewellers who draw’, aiming to represent the multi-faceted nature of an artists’ work, as well as hinting at the varying ways that drawing and making may relate.
‘Plotlines’ will comprise a range of handmade three-dimensional jewellery and objects, inhabiting a two-dimensional landscape. A close look will reveal both gradual exchanges and tangental leaps from the original drawings to the finished, wearable pieces. This will be a new body of work by Elise Sheehan, an Honours graduate of the RMIT Fine Art (Gold and Silversmithing) course, whose preferred mediums include silver, a fine black pen and the common banana.
